This workshop will introduce you a relational database. Work with tables to create and maintain records, locate records, and produce reports based on the information in the database. Learn the fundamental knowledge and techniques needed to advance to more technical Access responsibilities, like creating and maintaining new databases and other techniques that transcend Excel’s capabilities.

This hands-on workshop for beginners introduces Adobe Photoshop to faculty as a tool for editing digital images. Topics include working with layers, adjusting color and brightness, resizing & cropping images, adding text, and exporting modified images for use on web sites or for incorporation in class materials.

PowerPoint Best Practices

This workshop addresses what are the best practices for using PowerPoint in a teaching environment, specifically focusing on what are good, bad and ugly practices that can distract your students. Topics include: hands-on instruction in customizing presentations with charts, graphs and animation and adding images, movies or sound files. The workshop will also discuss some of the pedagogical issues in using PowerPoint successfully in the classroom.

The Grade Book provides an excellent way to give students continual feedback about how they are doing in the course. The workshop will discuss how to use the grade book, add columns and enter grades and how the grade book interacts with quizzes and assignments. The workhop will also discuss how the grade book can be downloaded and edited in Microsoft Excel.
