One of the goals of the FTRC is to collaborate with
faculty
at C.W. POST who wish to develop instructional technology applications
for use in their courses.
Projects that involve interdisciplinary collaboration
between multiple faculty are particularly encouraged.
The FTRC staff will assist you in developing your
idea, identifying the appropriate technologies that will improve student
learning and offer technical assistance in the creation of the materials.
Creation of these projects will involve active engagement
and a significant time investment on the part of the interested faculty.
This may also require the development of new skills in one or more
of the required technologies. The FTRC will assist you in tracking
the effectiveness of your project as it is used by students.
In order to provide the best possible service and
support for a wide range of instructional technology projects, the
FTRC will work collaboratively with individual faculty and groups,
in developing effective project plans. If you are interested in using
the FTRC resources and staff support for an instructional technology
project, please read through the Project
planner to get an idea of the kind of information you will need
to assemble describing your project and it’s support needs.
Then contact the FTRC staff, through the Office of Information Technology,
x2281, or via e-mail at FTRC@cwpost.liu.edu
to set up an appointment to discuss your project. After this initial
consultation you may be ready to submit a Project Proposal. Completed
proposals will be reviewed by the Center staff. Once a project is
approved, the Center will work with the projects initiators to put
together a work team, a timeline and the necessary resources.
